Fall Fashion from A-Z: U, V, W, X, Y, & Z

Last post, we made it. Finally the last letters of the alphabet!

Uber Clutch
Forget the hobo bag, it's all about the clutch this season. Even a small bag with a side strap that's on the small side will do. Go for a structured shape, big or small. Embellishments like sequins, beading, and stud work add to your outfit, and adds a bit of character. Clutches with embellishments are must, as well as a classic plain structured piece.

Varsity
Jocks aren't just for high school girls anymore. Varsity style is in this season, whether it be a jacket, vest, or sport like apparel. Try a varsity like jacket with your jeans or instead of a blazer to work.

Winter Floral
Flower power through the winter months, who says you can't have a garden party in December?  Pick a floral print that has a dark base for the background, this way it's easier to pair with other fall pieces, as well as making the floral pop from the darkness.

X-treme Make-up
The bolder the better, if you dare. Pick bright colour eye shadows such as blue, green, and even yellow. Try it with a more basic outfit in neutral tones and shades like black, grey, taupe, brown, and white.

Yesterday
Take me back to the 40's & 50's when life was simple. Simplicity is in for a more tailored and classic look. the total opposite to most of the trends that have come out this year. Tailored, structured and classic pieces that can be worn for more than one season are key, as well as a straight coat to complete this look.

Zoo York
No, not the brand. Fashion is a wild world, with wild animals, literally. Animal prints, hats, mittens, you can literally dress like an animal, though it's not recommended.  Mix up prints and fabric textures to create a animal-like look.

Hope you will enjoy at least on of these trends this season! we know we will :)

Next post will be what we have in store that follow the above trends! tune in next week to find out.

Fall Fashion from A-Z; O-T

Hey ladies, sorry for the delay, today im going to give you O through T to make up for lost time!!

Over the top Heels
Go big or go home. The higher the better this season, not to mention the wackier too. Designers took inspiration from the outdoors to make some pretty wacky and high heels.  We can let them speak for themselves....

You don't have to go this extreme, but don't be afraid to experiment with those "to die for" shoes you may have been eyeing.
Polka dot
Can you say 101 polka dots? Every form of dot, from prints, embellishments, and detailing were on everything, and I mean everything. Embrace your inner Minnie Mouse this season, try a polka dot accessory or blouse.

Quirky Prints
Any print will do, literally. From 70's retro couch prints, wallpaper, curtains and more. Go through old pictures from back in the day to find your inspiration.  At least one over the top blouse is essential in your fall wardrobe.

Red
Not just your favourite lip-stick colour anymore. Every shade of red was along the runway, a deep rich red however took first place.  Having at least one red piece is essential in your fall/winter wardrobe.  Find a red that works with your skin tone, it may take awhile, but it's worth every second you wait. If you really can't find anything, pair your everyday look with a red shoe for that extra pop of colour.

Suit yourself
Suiting for women is back, and we are in love. There's nothing sexier than a woman in a power suit.  Masculine staples such as the white shirt, trousers, and blazers with tailored detailing are key.  Stick to more neutrals such as black, grey, taupe, beige, brown, and even white for a classic look. Feeling brave? try a matching plaid pant suit, or a brighter colour such as a red or orange blazer with your black trousers.

Tartan
My personal favorite PLAID! is back again this year in full force. From jackets to pants, this is a trend that you don't want to miss out on. I'm sure most of you have some plaid lingering in your closet somewhere, pull it out, dust it off, and wear it on a crisp fall day. Not to mention plaid goes perfect with denim!

Fall Fashion from A-Z: K, L, M, N

Knitwear
Pull out those sweaters your grandma made for you every birthday and Christmas, this is the time to wear them. Knit stockings, leg warmers, gloves, and other accessories are also big this season, so stock up. Being comfy isn't just about being comfy, you can be stylish at the same time.

Lace
Lace is back for yet another season, and we cannot get enough. Just the smallest touch of lace can add a touch of romance to any outfit. Over board lace from head to toe, or touches of lace detailing , either way you wear it, defiantly fit lace into your wardrobe again this season.

Mod 60's
The 60's are calling; Graphic shapes, clean lines, mini dresses, plastic & vinyl, knits, Mary Janes and knee high boots, need I say more? There's many ways to incorporate this trend,  add a graphic blouse to your classic trousers, or a classic mini dress, knee high boots with a tailored jacket.

Never nude
Not into the extreme makeup trend, you're in luck, you can keep you fresh "nude" look.  A fresh face goes a long way with some of the out-there style that's coming our this season. When wearing powerful prints, go for a nude lip and darker shadow which complements the print.  When wearing a bold colour such as red, complement it with a lip colour in a similar shade, but not as powerful, and go softer on the eye's. Go for a fresh face look as much as you can, show your true beauty! :)

Fall Fashion from A-Z; H, I, J

Hats

Was it the royal wedding that made everyone hat crazy? either way, hats are back and are this seasons new essential accessory. Now I know most people think they aren't "hat people" but it's all about finding the right style for you. Go for more neutral colours that will match with almost every piece in your wardrobe for maximum usage. One brightly coloured fun hat is also essential, everyone likes a pop of colour or glitz to make your outfit extra trendy.

Indigo Girl
Every shade of blue was on the runway for Fall, and we like it. this rich tone works well for so many people and the options are endless. Denim is a big contender, so make the most of it, wear jeans endlessly for casual and dressy looks. Deep sapphires and ocean blues are great accent colours to black, white, and charcoal, which are basic colours for fall. Mix it up a bit, make blue a staple for your fall wardrobe.

Jacket City
Long coats, short coats, bomber jackets & varsity leathers; do not leave your house without a jacket this season, it's your biggest accessory. Masculine shapes and fur trims were on top of the coat game. Mixing and matching fabrics such as leather with fur trim, or even having a long tail in an accent colour will add that extra bit of excitement. It's all about embellishments that make your jacket the key look in your outfit, not just something you wear to keep warm.
