Trench-tastic

Ok Vancouverites, you know the deal, where is our summer? It still feels like April, but that doesn't mean there aren't ways you can sport a summer look, while still staying warm. We all know that the classic trench coat is a look that is here to stay. With a slimmer fit and full coverage (all buttoned up), the trench dress could become just as classic as the coat, and we are all for it.

The Trench Dress is a perfect solution, not to mention practical, for us here in Vancouver. Sport your trench as your main look on those partly cloudy days where your not sure what the weather will do. We're not talking a jersey or a silk dress, wear your COAT as a dress, yes I said coat. Pick something that's light weight, not too restraining,  and wear a simple slip dress underneath. Pair it with heels or wedges to dress it up a bit, or even a cute sandal for a more casual look,  and add simple accessories. Pick bold colours or prints to add some flavor, or go traditional with a camel, navy or black for a more work appropriate look.

Just a thought till summer shows up!
Try it, you won't believe how amazing you will look.

Our Pick;

Lights, Camera, Citrus!

Citrus colours are as hot as they come this summer season. Dip into these bright hues for a refreshing take on the LBD ( Little Black Dress) and  add a little flavor to your wardrobe.  Bright yellows, oranges, blues, and greens  are eye catching  standout colours, and best worn simple, letting the colour, and you, stand out. Celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, and Blake Lively have taken on the bright and bold, where as Kate Hudson is wearing the more softer yellows and greens.  Either look works, go with what your comfortable in and works for you and your skin tone.

Wearing these colour's from top to bottom can too much for some,  so having a bright accessory, like a clutch or bracelet, gives an outfit the pop of colour you desire. Not to big on accessories? try a bright nail polish instead.

There's always a shade that's right for any skin tone, so don't be afraid to try out these colours and add a little citrus to your wardrobe!

Trend Watch; the T-Shirt

The T-Shirt; giving this classic piece the credit it deserves

This is the ultimate basic, and never goes out of style.  Luxe t-shirts were all over the runways, with sequins, organza or even leather in many different patterns and cuts. However, this doesn't mean that your classic cotton style T is out of style, pair it with a pencil skirt or cute shorts and some wedges for a more put-together look.

This popular basic can be seen everywhere, even big names such as Channel , YSL, and Louis Vutton have done their version on a basic tee that's been seen on many celebrities such as Kanye West,  Claudia Schiffer, and Sienna Miller.
 Don't miss out on wearing your favourite basic this season with other trends such as bright colours, and bold accessories!

Our top pick:

Divine Soul T-shirts; pima cotton and spandex, super comfy and affordable
