Scarf-heaven

Scarves; a woman's greatest accessory. Other than a piece of jewelry, a scarf can add that extra something to an outfit. Whether it be a splash of colour or print, or adding an extra layer of warmth, a scarf is a great way to add personal style. Neutral prints or earth tones are a great way to go in the fall in winter months when adding with blacks, grey's, and other neutrals. A splash of colour such as a turquoise, sapphire, and  jewel-toned purples, and  greens are another great choice. When choosing colours and patterns make sure the colours complement your skin tone in the winter months aka with no tan, some brighter colours may wash you out.  Styles like shawl's and circle scarves are great as they can be worn several different ways.  Here are some great options:

Handbag Fetish

New season, new bag. A bag can make or break an outfit, that's why it's important to have a variety to choose from. This season any size goes, depending on what you need your bag for.  A good structured clutch is always in style, as well as a good sized side bag. They are perfect for going out on the town, or for a causal day occasion. Bigger bags such as a slouch or messenger bag are perfect for everyday on the go.  They have enough room to hold everything you may need, and are a great bold accessory to any outfit.  Hobo slouches were not very popular on the runway this year, but if you like the style, go for something a bit on the smaller size.
We have some great bags in stock that will be sure to add that extra punch of style to any Fall outfit.

Fall Fashion from A-Z: U, V, W, X, Y, & Z

Last post, we made it. Finally the last letters of the alphabet!

Uber Clutch
Forget the hobo bag, it's all about the clutch this season. Even a small bag with a side strap that's on the small side will do. Go for a structured shape, big or small. Embellishments like sequins, beading, and stud work add to your outfit, and adds a bit of character. Clutches with embellishments are must, as well as a classic plain structured piece.

Varsity
Jocks aren't just for high school girls anymore. Varsity style is in this season, whether it be a jacket, vest, or sport like apparel. Try a varsity like jacket with your jeans or instead of a blazer to work.

Winter Floral
Flower power through the winter months, who says you can't have a garden party in December?  Pick a floral print that has a dark base for the background, this way it's easier to pair with other fall pieces, as well as making the floral pop from the darkness.

X-treme Make-up
The bolder the better, if you dare. Pick bright colour eye shadows such as blue, green, and even yellow. Try it with a more basic outfit in neutral tones and shades like black, grey, taupe, brown, and white.

Yesterday
Take me back to the 40's & 50's when life was simple. Simplicity is in for a more tailored and classic look. the total opposite to most of the trends that have come out this year. Tailored, structured and classic pieces that can be worn for more than one season are key, as well as a straight coat to complete this look.

Zoo York
No, not the brand. Fashion is a wild world, with wild animals, literally. Animal prints, hats, mittens, you can literally dress like an animal, though it's not recommended.  Mix up prints and fabric textures to create a animal-like look.

Hope you will enjoy at least on of these trends this season! we know we will :)

Next post will be what we have in store that follow the above trends! tune in next week to find out.

Fall Fashion from A-Z; O-T

Hey ladies, sorry for the delay, today im going to give you O through T to make up for lost time!!

Over the top Heels
Go big or go home. The higher the better this season, not to mention the wackier too. Designers took inspiration from the outdoors to make some pretty wacky and high heels.  We can let them speak for themselves....

You don't have to go this extreme, but don't be afraid to experiment with those "to die for" shoes you may have been eyeing.
Polka dot
Can you say 101 polka dots? Every form of dot, from prints, embellishments, and detailing were on everything, and I mean everything. Embrace your inner Minnie Mouse this season, try a polka dot accessory or blouse.

Quirky Prints
Any print will do, literally. From 70's retro couch prints, wallpaper, curtains and more. Go through old pictures from back in the day to find your inspiration.  At least one over the top blouse is essential in your fall wardrobe.

Red
Not just your favourite lip-stick colour anymore. Every shade of red was along the runway, a deep rich red however took first place.  Having at least one red piece is essential in your fall/winter wardrobe.  Find a red that works with your skin tone, it may take awhile, but it's worth every second you wait. If you really can't find anything, pair your everyday look with a red shoe for that extra pop of colour.

Suit yourself
Suiting for women is back, and we are in love. There's nothing sexier than a woman in a power suit.  Masculine staples such as the white shirt, trousers, and blazers with tailored detailing are key.  Stick to more neutrals such as black, grey, taupe, beige, brown, and even white for a classic look. Feeling brave? try a matching plaid pant suit, or a brighter colour such as a red or orange blazer with your black trousers.

Tartan
My personal favorite PLAID! is back again this year in full force. From jackets to pants, this is a trend that you don't want to miss out on. I'm sure most of you have some plaid lingering in your closet somewhere, pull it out, dust it off, and wear it on a crisp fall day. Not to mention plaid goes perfect with denim!
